ABOUT THE DESIGN
The Porpoise of Life was one of the most popular Guru Adrian t-shirts during the 80s and, by popular demand, this is the first time I’ve reprinted it in over 40 years. 

Guru Adrian is a memetic character I introduced to the world during the 80s before memes became a thing. He’s a secular deity known as the God of Fun, whose mantra “Having fun is half the fun” gets quoted back to me to this day. The Guru became for me what the Radiant Baby was for Keith Haring: a muse and calling card. Keith and I even collaborated on a Guru print called no Body, which you can see here.

ABOUT THE MODEL
Simon Marnie has been a bestie of mine since we were the youngest employees of Triple J radio nearly five decades. He’s since become a beloved radio presenter and professional foodie. We shot in Darlo, our old Triple J stomping ground, and at Bill & Toni's in particular, where we still meet for coffee.
