ABOUT THE DESIGN
Dufus is David’s playful parody of mega-brand Deus, created by his clever friend Dare Jennings. Happily, Dare not only gave Dufus his blessing, he also agreed to model our Dufus hat. Which feels apt: deus means god, and Dare is a bit of a god, while dufus means goofball… and you can probably see where this is going.
ABOUT THE MODEL
Dare isn’t just a mate; he’s been a quiet supporter of David and many other Aussie artists for decades. He was also the brains behind another Australian mega-brand, Mambo, which somehow managed to become huge while staying cultish — no easy trick.
