Dufus Hat

Dufus is my affectionate parody of the brand Deus, which was created by my clever mate Dare Jennings (who kindly gave Dufus his blessing). The word "dufus" apparently originated as a gentle insult in American colleges during the 1960s, plausibly influenced by the word "doof", which means "daft" or "goofy" in both Scottish and German. 

MODEL
Dare Jennings isn’t just a mate of mine — he’s also been a quiet mentor, as he has for a lot of Aussie artists. He’s the mind behind Mambo, which managed to be both hugely successful and culturally sharp, and later Deus, now scattered across a dozen or so countries, selling everything from clothes to custom motorbikes. He’s also a bloody good sport, given that he agreed to model PoW’s Dufus hat, which is clearly a playful parody of Deus.
