I love puns. I can’t help it.

"Breakfast" is from a series of mine called Prompt Service, which is a paean to the hand-painted farm-stand signs I grew up around as a child in what was then rural Castle Hill. Prompt Service is also a satirical commentary on artificial intelligence (AI), where I created prompts for natural intelligence that would create a unique image in the mind of each viewer.

I also love breakfast.

MODEL

My mate Cam turned up to see my Prompt Service mural and exhibition in Sydney in 2024 and, somewhat improbably, has remained in my life ever since. He moves through the world with a forward momentum that tends to sweep others in — which is how I found myself in Vietnam with him not long after that. Cam is also one of those rare people who manages to be conspicuously good-looking without seeming to notice, and disarmingly kind in an old time kind of way.
