ABOUT THE DESIGN
Dufus is David's affectionate parody of the brand Deus ex Machina, which was created by his clever mate Dare Jennings (who kindly gave Dufus his blessing and modelled the Dufus hat for us). The word "dufus" apparently originated as a gentle insult in American colleges during the 1960s, plausibly influenced by the word "doof", which means "daft” or "goofy" in both Scottish and German.
